About Me

Verioska Torres, aka Veri, is currently a junior at St. Mary's College of Maryland. She is majoring in Art History, minor in Museum Studies. She recently received her Associate of Arts Degree from Montgomery College and transferred to SMCM for her Bachelors. Her hometown is in Gaithersburg, Maryland, but occasionally travels back to her birthplace in Peru. Her interest in art began at a young age, when her grandmother told her stories about the two peaks, Huayna and Machu Picchu, and the Incas. On her spare time she likes to sew costumes, read about pre-Columbian cultures, watch foreign films without subtitles, and battle in a sporting game called Dagorhir. And she is presently engaged to her high-school sweetheart, Justin Warrenfeltz.

Open House in October

As part of the design administration, I had the opportunity to create a miniature model of the Boyden Gallery for our Open House during Artweek. Not the the exact measurements, but I was able to understand the basic size.

Design is being finalized next week and hopefully we can get some color on those walls!

It's exciting stuff!!
